Sometimes kids need firmness and discipline to help them continue with piano lessons. Sometimes they need encouragement.
Is your child discouraged? If so, let us know. Eric and I can adjust our expectations, change the music, revise the lesson format, switch times or days, help decide on better practice times, and more.
But often times, children simply need encouragement. They wonder: is all their practicing worthwhile? Does anybody care about it? Are they sounding better than they did a year ago? A thoughtful, positive comment from a mom or dad can make all the difference in recharging a kid who feels a little down.
Teachers try to be as encouraging as possible. When parents do so, too, it’s a winning combination for students.
